The Fatra insulated roof system has been specifically engineered by Fatra to create a non-penetrative mechanically fixed insulated roof system. This system provides the client with superior thermal efficiency, reduced installation programmes, reduced material costs and can reduce air conditioning costs by up to 25% per annum. The Fatra insulated roof system drastically improves the overall thermal rating by up to 20% due to minimising the amount of thermal bridges compared to installing the insulation to the underside of the substrate. All joints, laps and terminations are hot air fusion welded creating a permanent and physical bond and does not rely on adhesives sealants or tapes to create a waterproofed joint.
Unlike traditional inverted membrane systems where the membrane is installed below the installation which requires a ballast to weigh the insulation down, the Fatra insulated system removes the requirement for the pebble ballast which completely obscures the membrane making any rectification or refurbishment extensive and very costly as well as adding a substantial amount of additional and unnecessary weight to the structure itself.
The Fatrafol 810v polyester reinforced membrane is fully bonded to the Fatra PVC pads using Fatrabond pad adhesive. The adhesive bond achieves a 6.4kn uplift strength between the membrane and fixing system.
The KoalaKool insulation board is installed over the FatraPar to fully insulate the roof structure. Depending on the R Value requirements various thicknesses of insulation are available.
The Fatrapar vapour control layer is laid over the substrate and is sealed along all laps, joints, penetrations and upturns using double sided butyl tape to prevent moisture ingress.

Fatra offer a unique ancillary which enables the client to mechanically anchor items such as solar panels, air conditioning units and timber decking to the structure without having to penetrate the waterproofing membrane which creates extensive detailing and weak points within the waterproofing system. The Fatrafix Bar is an aluminium bar which is encapsulated in PVC membrane and is simply welded to the field sheet membrane.
Fatra Australia supply our Fatranyl PVC coated sheet metal to create single skin or insulated box gutter system which offer a sustainable and reliable gutter solution compared to traditional metal box gutters. Fatra gutters remove the requirement to seal the joints using silicone which inevitably breaks down in a very short period of time. Each join in the gutter is hot air fusion welded with a PVC membrane strap creating a permanent waterproofed joint with a life expectancy in excess of 30 years.
